Origins

Accretive origins date back to the mid 70's when founder, Dr. Nabil Abu el Ata, worked with a team of physicists and mathematicians to define orbits for probes to explore other planets in the solar system. A whole new theory was created and a highly accurate solution developed, tested and applied for critical missions. Dr. Abu el Ata became increasingly involved with business dynamics and their systems and realized that the theory could be applied to model the multi-variable complexity of business information systems.

Technology and experience

X-Act distinguishes itself from other modeling techniques in that it relies on mathematical formulation rather than stochastic based and/or discrete-event formulation.  X-Act has been used in various industries including financial services, retail, and telecoms. It uses a methodology called the Model Based Architecture to provide a modular and scalable approach to testing various scenarios.
